Arch Enemy - Entrevista (ENG)

HV- It´s a great pleasure interview Arch Enemy, because you´re a band with huge prestige. I want to thank you this opportunity

HV-  So, your tour will start tomorrow, are excited about this tour?

AE- We actually started our festival season in June.. we are kinda reaching the end of it now. Then we will tour Europe in October and Latin America in November-December this year. Yes, we are looking forward to play in all these diferent countries for so many Arch Enemy fans!


HV-  What we can expect from this tour?

AE- Pure Fucking Metal. Arch Enemy is a powerful live-band and we will deliver the goods as always!


HV- You've been in Portugal, but never on a Portuguese festival. Are you ready for Vagos Open Air?

AE- Yes, we have played a smaller Portuguese festival before. We are def ready for Vagos Open Air. It will be a blast!


HV- As I said, you´re a band with a huge prestige. What bands or who have inspired you on the beginning of Arch Enemy?

AE- My musical influences are the early thrash- and death metal bands like Slayer, Death, Morbid Angel.


HV-  What was to be done to reach this success?

AE - Hard and relentless work. We have been recording and releasing albums and then touring since I joined the band. Non-stop. We don’t take breaks. We are always working.

HV- I think you are a band that should be followed as an example for other bands. You think you are an example to other younger bands?

AE- I hope so. Hard work and dedication pays off. We are not an overnight success but have built up our following and reputation over a decade. If you want to last you have to back it up with quality and hard work.


HV- To end our interview, do you want to leave a message for the High Voltage crowd, and for all those who go to the Vagos Open Air?

AE - We are looking forward to celebrate metal with you! Vagos Open Air will be brutal in a good way – hope to see you there and thrash with you!
